30 Days of Sherlock: Day 9

Day 07 — A Sherlock photo that makes you LOL :

The best thing about this show are the little details:

And by little details, I mean:

Background Lestrade in this entire scene is brilliant! The jaw drop was perfect and definitely made me a bit skeptical of how Lestrade's meeting with the ex-wife is going to go the next morning. Is anyone surprised that his wedding ring is significantly absent the next episode?

Also, under mousy Molly's awkward exterior is a foxy lady ready to come out! You go girl!

Given that I adore Rupert Graves, I'll say that any scene with Lestrade is awesome. ♥

Very much agree!

I love that the actress who played Molly, teased Rupert Graves about scene stealing in this bit. He does it so effortlessly.

Any recommendations on other roles he's played? I've already run through Netflix and the rest of his filmography is a bit intimidating to sort through.

Also, I might be addicted to his accent/voice.

Definitely watch him in Maurice. He has a full frontal nude scene in it. He's very young in it, too, so he looks a bit different. His character is my favorite in that movie. I also like him in A Room with a View. Both movies are beautifully filmed period pieces.

I've seen Maurice. I thought it was extremely well done, though there was an OMG-things-are-going-to-turn-out-horrible-aren't-they nail biting aspect to it. Also, I think that's when I realized his voice was something I had to listen to.

I'll try to check out the other one. Have you seen Forsythe Saga? Is he in it much? I want to see it either way but I want to know whether I should be in a period drama mood or a Rupert Graves mood when I attempt that run time.

No, I haven't seen Forsyte Saga. I looked at a few reviews of it at IMDB, and even though some people didn't like the series, they said Rupert was the best actor in it. It sounds like it's worth checking out.
